A catalogue listing, a launch campaign and a social post ask different things of a product photograph. We begin with your intended use, product details and references, then agree the look and shot list. The brief can focus on consistent product views, a styled brand story, or a combination of both.
Share the product category, dimensions, number of items and any detail that needs careful treatment. Materials, reflective surfaces, texture, packaging and colour all affect the lighting and time needed for the shoot.
Three ways to build the brief.
- Catalogue and e-commerce: agreed backgrounds, repeatable angles and consistent framing across your range.
- Brand and campaign: art direction, props, styling and compositions that support a launch or campaign.
- Social content: photographs and, where requested, short video assets planned for your publishing formats.
Prepare the products. Define the views.
Send the number of products or SKUs, the views needed for each item, packaging requirements and reference images. Note whether the photographs need space for copy, a particular crop or platform-specific dimensions. Tell us if you need a model, a hand model, wardrobe styling or video alongside the still images.
Products should arrive clean, complete and ready to photograph. Agree delivery, collection and any assembly with the team before the session. If the brief needs special surfaces, backgrounds or props, we will include those in the production plan.
Scope the shoot before the quotation.
Your quotation is based on the number of products, setup changes, required views, styling, retouching and final assets. We agree the selected image count, file formats, image use and delivery schedule before confirmation. A small set of repeatable catalogue views and a styled campaign are different scopes, so there is no single price that fits every product brief.
SAM can coordinate models and casting across the UAE or creative talent when your production needs people as well as products. You can also rent the studio and bring your own photographer.
